Our Vision
Superheroes are cool! Don’t let anyone tell you differently. It’s more than their powers rendered with special effects, or cool costumes. Comics are imaginative stories and artwork -- the quintessential American mythology. The best superheroes are ones we relate to, and aspire to become. It’s an essential part of our youth and development.
Stan Lee understands why Spider-Man resonates with us. Spidey’s real. He has everyday problems. As a result, we really get to know Spidey a.k.a. Peter Parker, and root for him. In the movies, we see Spidey with his mask off more often than not. We are Peter Parker.
There’s another reason for Spidey’s popularity – his costume. Stan Lee: “Spidey’s costume is completely user-friendly. Any reader, of any race, in any part of the world, can imagine himself under that costume – and fantasize that he himself is Spider-Man.” PureHero helps our customers experience that magical moment they feel when they put on their costume the first time and realize they are special.
 As a youngster, I loved my Captain America, Thor, Hulk, and Superman tees. I wore my love and allegiance. What if you want to show more than your love for the characters, aspiring to be your favorite superhero?
PureHero takes this fantasy to the next level. We asked, “What would Peter Parker want?” The answer was cool designs that performed when playing hard, and also looks good for a date with MJ. The result is performance designs based upon the superhero’s legacy and iconography -- great design, technical fabrics, and the latest sports and fitness styles such as cycling, BMX, performance tees, skin-, mid-, and outer-layer items.
A story about how you think differently when wearing PureHero product. I was in the Spidey cycling top, riding along minding my own business and passed a damsel in distress with a flat tire. Of course, “with great power comes great responsibility.” My immediate thought was, gee, I should help fix her tire. That never happened before!
Now some might say, isn't it just for kids? Ernest Hemingway once said: "As you get older, it's harder to have heroes, but it is sort of necessary." We could not agree more.
PureHero product is not for everyone. It costs more than the usual Hanes beefy-tee. At comparable prices to the best branded products, they are produced in limited volumes – we’re not selling tens of thousands of each style. We want to keep innovating – changing colors, design iconography, styles, fit – cool designs for the superhero in you.
So that’s our vision. Great, cool product…respect for the superhero, tapping into their legacy and library of designs… unbelievable technical fabrics that allow you to look good (some might say sexy) and play hard in… letting you experience what they feel.
